The Fish Project

A big fish in a small pond

The Fish Project’s visibility in Denmark was increasing, with a third new location opening in Copenhagen. Growing so fast, they needed a new website to reflect their new brand and stand out from the crowd.

The Brief

Working closely with the client, and after an in depth review of their audience, it was clear that this fast growing family business needed something to reflect their nature, to step away from the corporate image into something more personal and visually appealing.
It was very important they weren’t simply promoting food but also taking the customer through a journey.

What did I do?

They agreed when I suggested a one-page, long scroll website was the best solution for them. For one, it keeps visitors on the site longer, with nowhere to click away. It also immerses visitors in their story, through tasty images and well-written content. The long scroll translated very well to all screen sizes, which was very important, with 73% of visits coming form mobile.

The Result

A modern, sleek and fully responsive website, with a lot of visual elements.

By implementing a long scroll option, the results were visible straight away, particularly in the time visitors spent on the website, which increased from 0:35 to 1:58.

The WordPress back end makes it very easy for them to quickly edit the content, opening hours or add new locations, therefore they do not require a maintenance package.

The Client

“Nova was recommended to us and we were so happy to have chosen her to redesign our wesbite. She did an outstanding job in a very short amount of time, we are so pleased with our new website and the feedback we are getting from our customers!   ”
